Black day in Karachi, 43 killed.

In Karachi, forty-three persons were killed and thirteen others injured in firing on a passanger bus in Karachi this morning

The incident occurred when unidentified armed persons opened indiscriminate fire at a community Bus in Safora Goth area.

Soon after the incident, Police and Rangers cordoned off the area.

Our Karachi representative says about 65 persons were on-board the bus.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has taken strict notice of the incident and suspended the SSP and SHO of the area.

Talking to media, the Chief Minister expressed profound grief and sorrow over the incident and said that he has sought an immediate report form IG Sindh in this regard.

He said that responsible of this heinous crime will be brought to justice.

He announced financial assistance of five hundred thousand rupees for each killed and two hundred thousand for each seriously injured of the incident.

The IG Sindh Ghulam Haider also visited the site of incident.

Talking to media, he said about 6 terrorists on 3 motorcycles opened indiscriminate firing on the Bus .

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have strongly condemned the firing incident in Karachi.

In their separate statements they expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in this act of terrorism .

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has sought complete report of the incident from the concerned authorities

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif arrived in Karachi today to review the situation emerged from terrorists attack on bus.
